During tonight’s friendly with Casa Pia in Algarve, Lorenzo Pellegrini was forced to exit the match before halftime.
The Italian midfielder and Roma captain asked to be replaced after suffering a blow minutes away from halftime.
According to Sky Sport, Pellegrini suffered a strong blow to the ankle and exited for precautionary purposes.
His condition will be further assessed later tonight and in tomorrow morning’s training session.
