Gianluca Mancini joins the club of Roma’s most loyal players.

With today’s match against Torino, the Tuscan defender reaches 300 official appearances for Roma, a milestone that certifies seven seasons as a starter.

Having arrived in July 2019 from Atalanta for approximately €21 million (loan and buyout), Mancini has gone from promising youngster to locker room leader, surviving various changes in management.

The numbers speak of great consistency: a consistent average of over 45 games per season, peaking at 51 in the year of the Budapest final. But it’s not just defense.

Mancini has established himself as a prolific center back, surpassing 18 goals overall.

Among these, his goals in the April 2024 derby and his brace against AC Milan in the Europa League quarterfinals remain crucial.

His trophy cabinet includes the Conference League victory in Tirana in 2022, a final decided by his assist for Zaniolo.

Despite European disappointments, such as the final lost on penalties against Sevilla, Mancini has remained a tactical pillar for Mourinho, De Rossi, Ranieri, and now Gasperini.
