Roma are reportedly monitoring the situation revolving around Mattas Hummels’ free agency.

The veteran German defender is said to be a target for the Giallorossi after reports emerged that Hummels would be keen on trying his luck in Serie A.

Hummels’ future will no longer be linked to Borussia Dortmund. The German defender has decided not to renew his contract with the club and, starting from 1 July, he will be available on a free transfer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Hummels has already rejected offers from Saudi Arabia, clearly expressing his desire to remain in Europe.

In recent weeks, the 35-year-old has been linked to Roma, who are looking to strengthen their defensive department, but Milan have also shown interest in the former Bayern Munich player, thus increasing competition in Serie A.
