Atalanta’s league campaign got off to a flying start with two wins at the Gewiss Stadium, first against Sassuolo and then Bologna.
The victory against the Rossoblu came almost at the last minute, with Samardzic’s strike allowing Atalanta to join Roma at the top of the table.
Maurizio Sarri, speaking at a press conference from the Zingonia training center, spoke about the upcoming match against the Giallorossi:
“Malen is in great form and will be a problem for the entire match. We’ve prepared normally; we’re the only team in Italy that plays five games in sixteen days tomorrow, but we’re having a few issues. Our growth has undoubtedly slowed.”
The coach then spoke about Roma: “They were strong and have become even stronger. They will fight for the Scudetto until the end, and I’d be surprised if the opposite happened.”
