After another man-of-the-match performance, Roma shot-stopper Mile Svilar didn’t take well to his team’s late 2-0 defeat to Como on Sunday.
After failing to stop two late goals from Alessandro Gabrielloni and Nico Paz, Svilar erupted in anger, shouting repeatedly at his teammates. His outbursts were so loud they could be heard clearly in the stands of the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, even amidst the celebratory noise of the home crowd.
According to Il Romanista, at the final whistle, Svilar then went alone to thank the Roma fans, who had come to the stadium to support the team, and quickly headed towards the locker rooms.
The second goalkeeper, Matthew Ryan, tried to calm him down, but Svilar would have none of it. The 25 year-old wriggled free from the attempted hug and began to run towards the locker rooms, continuing to shout and rant.
The youngster’s anger fully encapsulates the difficulties Roma have encountered this season—the defeat marking their eighth loss in Serie A through 16 rounds.
