Jose Mourinho was asked about Roma’s European pedigree during his tenure ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League final.
“We’re working in order to bring the trophy home with us,” Mourinho said in his pre-match interview with Sky Sport.
“It’s not just the work of the last three days, but a combination of training, experience, dialogue, field work. We have to take all of that and put it in the final.”
“The opponent is of a high level with great experience in these moments. To win you need a very high level performance,” Mourinho added.
“The players who remained with us since I first came here have had an important evolution. They have played 30 European cup matches, with two finals in two years. This experience can make the difference.”
“We’re like a family. We’re not good enough individually, neither me nor the players. We are here because we are a group. Always together, for better or for worse. And that’s what you’ll see on the pitch.”
