Roma manager Jose Mourinho discussed Tammy Abraham’s continued underwhelming performances in the second half of the season.
In his post-match presser, the Special One addressed the media’s questions regarding Abraham’s poor form which resulted in fans booing him in last night’s win over Sampdoria.
“The boos are sometimes tough, I don’t know if the boos were for him or me, for the substitutions, or there was a percentage that booed him and one that booed me,” Mourinho said after the match.
“Some may think that he didn’t play well and others may say that I was stupid to change him because he could have gone on to score.”
“Even if a coach says that a striker’s job is not just scoring goals, it’s important for their self-esteem. Right now Tammy is not scoring any goals and maybe he suffers because of it. We win together and we lose together.”
