Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri could be very shorthanded when his team travels to the Italian capital for their face-off against Roma this weekend.
Polish midfielder Piotr Zielinski is a major doubt for Saturday’s showdown given Mazzarri excluded him from his squad list for tonight’s Coppa Italia fixture versus Frosinone.
He joined the Partenopei’s ever-growing injury list which also includes Elif Elmas, Frank Anguissa and left back Mathias Olivera. All four are widely predicted to be out against Roma—in a match that will undoubtedly have top-four implications.
It remains to be seen how significantly Mazzarri will rotate his squad against Eusebio Di Francesco’s men, but his hand could be forced simply due to the numerous absences.
