Former Roma midfielder Nemanja Matic could be on the move again in January less than six months after he left the Italian capital to join Rennes.

Despite his summer arrival, the Serbian veteran is reportedly seriously considering leaving the French side following his acrimonious split with the Giallorossi in late August.

According to L’Equipe, Matic is increasingly open to a departure due to multiple factors having led to him being on the margins of the club’s projects. First and foremost, the departure of manager Bruno Genesio last month has played a major role in his discontent. The 57 year-old heavily recruited Matic in the final weeks of the transfer window and successfully convinced him to leave Roma.

Meanwhile, his three children haven’t been enrolled in the international school as was promised to him during the summer—further adding to his displeasure. As a result, he’s become significantly more open to the idea of switching clubs in January .
