The arrival of Jayden Oosterwolde could open the door to the sale of Jan Ziolkowski.
The Polish defender, who joined Roma a year ago from Legia Warsaw, could leave the capital this transfer window if Neom’s interest materialises.
According to today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, published this morning, Roma is currently awaiting a concrete offer for Ziolkowski from Neom.
The Giallorossi’s valuation is around €16 million, a figure that would allow sporting director Tony D’Amico to create a small nest egg that could potentially be used for a new offensive reinforcement.
The departure of the Polish defender would also represent a significant financial move. Ziolkowski arrived in the capital the previous summer for around €6 million from Legia Warsaw, and a transfer at the asking price would guarantee Roma a significant capital gain.
From a technical standpoint, not much would change: his place in the squad would be taken by Oosterwolde, who would also provide the opportunity to give a winger a rest.
The situation therefore remains to be monitored: the future of the 2005-born player will depend above all on the Saudi club’s proposal and Gasperini’s final assessment of the defensive line.
