Reports from Germany indicate that Nottingham Forest have essentially abandoned the pursuit of Givairo Read couple of days ago for several reasons.

One is Roma’s involvement, though it appears the deal won’t be easy to pull off.

The Giallorossi are facing a tough opponent in the form of Feyenoord, who are demanding the maximum for their player, writes Florian Plettenberg.

So far, Roma have submitted a reported offer of 25 million euros, but Feyenoord appear unconvinced by this proposal.

Discussions between the two clubs continue with Roma wanting to reach an agreement soon.
