The Friedkins are closing in on the acquisition of Everton Football Club.
As announced by the English club via an official statement, the Friedkin Group will soon acquire Everton and add it to the group’s portfolio consisting of Roma and Cannes.
“Blue Heaven Holdings has received significant interest from several highly respected parties interested in investing in the Club.
The Club can confirm today (21 June) that a period of exclusivity has been granted to The Friedkin Group to progress discussions to acquire a majority shareholding in Everton.
All parties will now work together to conclude this process. In the meantime, the Club will continue to operate as normal.”
The Friedkin Group’s takeover of Roma took place in 2020.
Since then, the Giallorossi won one Conference League title and featured in the Europa League final of 2023 which ended in a defeat to Sevilla on penalties.
