Former Roma man Javier Pastore discussed the capital club’s appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini.
In an interview with Corriere dello Sport, the Argentine midfielder praised the Giallorossi’s decision to entrust Ranieri and Gasperini with their project.
“Gasperini is a very good coach, he knows Italian football very well, he can do well in Rome,” said Pastore.
“He has character, he imposes his game, his vision of football and to tell the truth I also think that the Roma team, understood as a group, is important.”
“With him and Ranieri, Roma can do well in Serie A and return to the top of the table, where they deserve to be.”
“In Rome I spent good years off the pitch, I’m sorry to not have been able to give as much as I had hoped.”
