A shocking turn of events for Roma star Paulo Dybala who hoped to represent his country in the upcoming Copa America.

The Argentine attacker – author of a remarkable season at Roma with 16 goals and 10 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions for the Giallorossi – was excluded from Lionel Scaloni’s squad list for Copa America.

The competition is bound to take place across the US and Canada between June and July.

Dybala, who recently suffered a muscle injury, was hoping to recover in time to represent his native Argentina.

However, all his efforts have proved in vain as Scaloni’s decision is likely to stay this way.

In the meantime, Leandro Paredes will be regularly called up for Argentina’s international engagements.
