After the final whistle, Niccolò Pisilli spoke to Sky Sport. The midfielder commented on the team’s performance and more.
“The reaction after the Europa League? It was a difficult match because we were coming off the back of a costly and disappointing performance on Thursday. It’s not easy to play after having lost so much energy, but we did well to bring home the result.”
Angeliño returned to the field against Lecce. Pisilli expressed his joy and that of the team: “We’re happy he’s back. He’s a fantastic player and a wonderful, positive person with the team. We’re happy he’s back, and I’m happy he’s back.”
The number 61 has been called up to the national team for the World Cup playoffs. Pisilli commented: “We have to be confident. We’re Italy, and we can’t afford not to play in the World Cup. I hope that starting this summer, Italy will be back playing in every World Cup.”
