Roma is looking for strong players who can improve their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League, a competition Gian Piero Gasperini is particularly passionate about.
The Grugliasco-born coach’s goal has always been to return the Giallorossi to the top of the Champions League.
The futures of Manu Konè and Neil El Aynaoui, who are popular in the Premier League, are still unclear.
Meanwhile, should either player leave, as Leggo reports, Roma are monitoring Quinten Timber.
Born in 2001 and currently playing for Marseille, he faced El Ayanoui during the World Cup, a battle that the Moroccan won, as the Oranje were eliminated from the World Cup.
Roma would only part with El Aynaoui or Koné if they received extraordinary offers that could shake the Friedkins. Should one of the two leave, they’re interested in the free agent Kessiè and Marseille’s Timber.
For now, however, their priorities are elsewhere, especially with OM, given that Gasperini has requested Mason Greenwood, and the Giallorossi have been working on bringing him to the capital for at least a month.
Timber, however, finished the season with the French club, after starting it with Feyenoord: 40 appearances, 4 goals, and as many assists with both teams.
