Claudio Ranieri and the rest of Roma’s management are already at work to secure the team’s next long-term head coach.

The club’s objective is to find a high level coach with knowledge and preferably experience in Serie A football.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport suggests that Ranieri’s favorite choice falls on Carlo Ancelotti.

The current Real Madrid boss is expected to leave the Blancos at the end of the season with Xabi Alonso set to replace him.

According to the newspaper, the club’s idea is to focus on an Italian technician and Ancelotti is the best the football world currently has to offer.

The deal is deemed possible based on two pre-existing conditions.

The relationship between Ancelotti and Ranieri is excellent and long-standing and the Friedkins, when it came to raising the bar for the coach, have already managed to convince José Mourinho to accept the challenge.

Thus, Ancelotti would represent a concrete opportunity at drawing a big name back to the capital after the misfired spells of Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric.
