Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches broke his silence regarding his current situation at Roma.
The 26-year-old has been plagued with injuries this season and – when fit – faced limited playing time under Jose Mourinho.
As a result, he has been rumored to be eyeing a potential exit from the Italian capital with the possibility of interrupting his loan spell six months in advance.
However, Sanches denied these claims in a recent Instagram story which he published to clarify the situation.
“What I wanted was to be on the field and do what I like most. Unfortunately, I haven’t been very lucky with injuries.”
“The person who feels most frustrated and has the most desire to play again is me… I believe everything passes and better moments will come.”
“Finally, I just wanted to mention that I never deleted any photos of Rome. It’s been more than 1 year since my profile picture was black.”
