Roma are seriously pondering the option of sending Renato Sanches back to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Portuguese midfielder is unlikely to complete his loan spell at Roma following a series of injuries and unconvincing performances.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma have already launched discussions with PSG for the early termination of Sanches’ loan.

If Sanches were to return to his parent club, informs the newspaper, Roma would be able to save enough in wages to afford another defender in addition to Leonardo Bonucci who is a step away from joining the Giallorossi.

The capital club are in fact determined to further strengthen their backline and Sanches’ departure could facilitate an additional signing.
