Roma are determined to pursue Gladbach midfielder Manu Koné as a late summer reinforcement.

The French player is said to be Roma’s new target for the summer window.

Following his impressive display at the Paris Olympics, Manu Koné has been receiving a lot of attention, primarily from Serie A where Milan have shown concrete interest in him.

However, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that Milan are no longer the only club in Italy to be pursuing Koné.

In fact, Roma have set Koné as their priority to further strengthen their midfield.

Daniele De Rossi wants more versatility and pace in the middle of the pitch and Koné seems to be the ideal fit for his Giallorossi squad.

At the moment, however, Gladbach’s demands remain quite elevated. Both Roma and Milan are assessing the feasibility of a deal for him.
