Roma are said to be in the race for Milan’s Daniel Maldini who recently concluded an impressive loan spell with Monza.

The son of the legendary Rossoneri defender has been at the forefront of numerous Serie A transfer rumors.

Having ended the season with 4 goals and 1 assist in just 11 games for Monza, Maldini is now being linked with a move to a top club in the summer.

Roma are one of the teams reportedly interested in the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.

The capital club are set to undergo a major revolution this summer and want to prioritize low-cost investments with high potential.

Moreover, Daniele De Rossi has asked the club to target players with pace and good technical skills: both attributes that young Maldini possesses.

According to calciomercato.com, Roma have launched talks with Maldini’s agent, Beppe Riso, and asked about the possibility of a transfer in the coming summer window.

Similarly, Atalanta have also been in talks with Riso.

The Italian agent is yet to meet with Milan’s management and discuss his client’s future upon the termination of his loan with Monza.

Milan seem to have no problem in letting the player go for a fee of €10 million as his contract is set to expire next year.
