Roma have put their negotiations with Mats Hummels on stand-by.
After engaging in talks with the German centreback, Roma appear hesitant to move forward with the operation.
Hummels was recently linked to Roma as the club’s replacement for Chris Smalling who is close to joining Al Fayha.
However, Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that the deal has been put on stand-by.
The Giallorossi are no longer convinced of proceeding with the negotiation for the former Borussia Dortmund defender.
However, there is still no final decision from the Giallorossi who are evaluating whether to close for another defender after the signing of Mario Hermoso.
