Roma fullback Rick Karsdorp spoke briefly to DAZN about Gini Wijnaldum’s injury minutes away from kick-off to Roma-Cremonese.
“It was a terrible thing to see Wijnaldum in such pain,” Karsdorp said of his fellow Dutch teammate. “He’s such a strong and positive guy.”
“We know he will come back stronger than before, and if needs anything from us we’ll be there for him,” he added.
Wijnaldum’s fractured tibia will require further tests, but the timeline for his recovery is, according to several reports, around 3-4 months.
