Roma are making concrete steps toward the signing of Empoli starlet Tommaso Baldanzi.

As the January windows winds to an end, the capital club are prioritizing the addition of Baldanzi to Daniele De Rossi’s roster for the remainder of the season.

Roma are convinced of Baldanzi and the Friedkins have already given the go-ahead for the deal to go through once Andrea Belotti departs the Italian capital in the direction of Fiorentina, reports Corriere dello Sport.

As a result, the newspaper reports that Empoli have already made their request for the 20-year-old midfielder: €15 million plus the inclusion of Roma Primavera player Niccolo Pisilli.

Roma, however, are not keen on letting go of Pisilli and would rather offer Riccardo Pagano instead.

Moreover, the club must first secure Andrea Belotti’s outgoing transfer before proceeding for a final rush in talks with Empoli prior to tomorrow’s transfer deadline at 20h00 (CET).
