Roma are looking to Genoa for the future of their midfield.

Among the youngsters the Giallorossi are reportedly pursuing is Samuel Wiafe, born in 2008 and currently making a name for himself in Daniele De Rossi’s side.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Juventus are also closely monitoring the 18-year-old, who has enjoyed a strong start to the season.

Arrived this summer from Modena in a move worth approximately €2.5 million that involved several players, Wiafe has started Genoa’s last five matches, including the 2-0 win against Roma at the Olimpico on October 17.

The young midfielder has also impressed Daniele De Rossi, who praised his qualities after the match against Roma. “He’s a player who is a little different from all the others,” De Rossi said immediately after the match at the Olimpico.

Roma, however, has been following Genoa’s young star for some time, so much so that as recently as late October, Giallorossi scouts were present at the Ferraris stadium to closely monitor the midfielder.
