Roma continues to work on their attack ahead of the January transfer window.

According to Il Messaggero, Frederic Massara remains in constant contact with Manchester United regarding Joshua Zirkzee.

The Giallorossi’s goal is to secure a loan with an option to buy, a deal that has not yet been agreed upon by the Red Devils.

Two main obstacles remain: United first want to know Sesko’s recovery time and are looking for a replacement for Mbeumo, who is ready to leave for the Africa Cup of Nations. Despite this, the player’s intentions are clear: Zirkzee wants a change of scenery as early as January to play his cards for the World Cup and sees Serie A, and Roma in particular, as the ideal destination.

West Ham are also pressing for the player, but the Dutchman continues to prioritize a return to the Italian league.

Should negotiations with Manchester United become complicated, Roma is keeping a second option alive: Tottenham’s Mathys Tel.

This too would be a deal that could be completed exclusively on loan, with no option to buy immediately.
