Roma, following their 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa, are continuing to work on the transfer market to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, just weeks before the start of the season.

According to Sportmediaset, Gian Piero Gasperini’s team is considering replacing Artem Dovbyk with Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund, should Dovbyk be sold.

Dovbyk is in fact popular with several European clubs, but to land Hojlund, they will have to overcome competition from AC Milan.

The Rossoneri would like to sign the Danish player on loan from the Red Devils, while the English club would prefer to cash in on him permanently.

Furthermore, the deal is complicated by several intermediaries.

Roma is waiting for developments, and if Dovbyk were to leave Trigoria, they will return to the hunt for Hojlund.
