Roma were quick to deny rumours of an apparent offer to purchase the club from entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri.
Following the report of Follieri’s offer, Roma released a statement to deny the receipt of any bids.
“Regarding what appeared on some news outlets, AS Roma specifies that it has not received at the miment, not even through NEEP Roma Holding srl, any offer for the acquisition of the Club.
The Friedkin Group also announces that it has no intention of selling the Club.
Legal actions will be evaluated against those who intend to destabilise the Club and the Group to gain personal visibility.”
