Roma continue to manifest their interest in Lille fullback Bafode Diakite.

The capital club are looking to revolutionize their wings this summer with players more compatible with Daniele De Rossi’s 4-3-3 system.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are prioritizing the exits of players like Leonardo Spinazzola and Rick Karsdorp, both destined to leave – Spinazzola will soon become a free agent whereas Karsdorp will be ultimately sold for the first suitable offer.

The newspaper suggests that Lille’s Diakite is the club’s desired replacement of Karsdorp and would only come in in case of the Dutchman’s sale from the club.

Diakite’s pricetag currently ranges between €18-20 million after an extremely positive season under former Roma coach Paulo Fonseca: the 23-year-old player collected 5 goals and 2 assists in 21 appearances in Ligue 1 this season.
