Roma have met for Villareal striker Alexander Sorloth.

The Giallorossi continue to work on the signing of the Norwegian attacker who is now considered the priority replacement of Romelu Lukaku.

Sorloth is coming off an impressive season with Villareal with 26 goals and 6 assists to his name across all competitions.

Earlier this week Roma showed interest in Sorloth and are now in contact with his agents.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Roma have held talks with the striker’s entourage.

Villareal’s request remains the same for the time being: 38 million euros.

Roma are aiming to lower the Spanish side’s demands. Negotiations are on-going.
