Roma is evaluating several options to strengthen their left flank.

One of the names at the top of the list, as reported by Teleradiostereo, is Brentford full-back Rico Henry.

Although negotiations have not yet begun, the player is in the Giallorossi’s files, as they are seeking a reliable, experienced, and financially viable full-back. Henry, born in 1997, is a modern and versatile full-back, capable of adapting both in a back four and as a full-back.

After a period plagued by injuries, including a serious cruciate ligament injury in 2023, he regained consistency in the 2025-26 season, becoming a key player for Brentford in the Premier League.

He isn’t a particularly attacking winger, but his balance, defensive capabilities, and progression make him ideal for stabilizing Roma’s left flank, allowing Wesley to return to his natural right-back role.

Henry’s contract expires in 2026, with an option for a further year, but his contractual situation makes him an attractive prospect.

His current valuation is around €15 million, a figure that could drop if he doesn’t sign a renewal.

His salary also falls within Roma’s parameters, making the deal sustainable.

Currently, negotiations are still in the exploratory phase, but if the situation changes, Roma could decide to accelerate the deal to secure an international signing while he’s still in his prime.
