Every aspect of Roma’s player contracts, especially those of new arrivals, is meticulously crafted.

The Friedkins, in fact, leave nothing to chance. For example, the contracts of Wesley, Ferguson, and Bailey state that “for each official match, the player undertakes to return at least one worn kit to the club.”

The same goes for bonuses.

La Repubblica, in fact, examined the three players mentioned above and analyzed the match and/or season bonuses of the three new signings.

The Jamaican earns an additional €93,000 each season if he finishes the year with at least 12 goals and assists, another €142,500 if he reaches 20, €191,000 if he qualifies for the Champions League, €283,000 for winning the Scudetto, €191,000 for winning the Europa League, and €93,000 for winning the Coppa Italia.

Wesley is entitled to €91,000 after 30 appearances, €191,000 after 40, and identical bonuses for qualifying for the Champions League, Scudetto, or Coppa Italia.

The situation is almost identical for Ferguson: €91,000 for scoring 10 or 20 goals and assists, and €191,000 for qualifying for the Champions League, Scudetto, or Europa League. Furthermore, appearance bonuses will come into effect starting in the 2026/27 season: €91,000 for 15, 30, 45, and 60 starts, all cumulative.

Furthermore, in the event of relegation to Serie B or Lega Pro, his salary would not change.

Ferguson’s “other documents” state that the Irishman must “communicate his official accounts on digital platforms to the club,” “be available to give interviews at the club’s request, and not give any type of interview without authorization.”
