Roma is keeping tabs on Ghilardi and continues to work on the defender’s transfer.

As reported by Filippo Biafora, Real Betis had made a concrete offer, proposing €8-9 million plus €2 million in bonuses, but ultimately decided to focus on another target.

However, Ghilardi has already expressed his preference for Roma, a factor that plays in the Roman club’s favor.

Hellas Verona, the defender’s club, however, appear unwilling to lower their asking price, setting the defender’s base fee at €10 million.

Discussions between the two clubs are ongoing, with Roma intent on reaching an agreement that satisfies both parties.
