Legendary Roma captain Giuseppe Giannini paid high praise to both Daniele De Rossi and Lorenzo Pellegrini.
In an interview with Lega Serie A, ‘Il Principe’ discussed De Rossi’s impact as Roma’s new head coach and Pellegrini’s leadership as team captain.
“De Rossi is trying to transmit to his players what he learned from Luis Enrique,” said Giannini.
“He is trying to speed up what we couldn’t do with Luis Enrique, that is, to cover all areas of the pitch and facilitate the transition between defense and offense. I liken him a lot to Luis Enrique in terms of playing style.”
“Pellegrini? He’s finally found himself again. He wears the captain’s armband with great style and personality, I am one of his biggest supporters. He can do everything, I appreciate that about him.”
