Roma are reportedly open to the idea of selling Houssem Aouar this summer.

The Algerian midfielder failed to impress in his first season at the club after signing as a free agent last year.

In a summer that will see Roma try and considerably lower their wage bill – which currently ranks the third highest in Serie A – the Giallorossi are likely to look at Houssem Aouar as a potential piece to be moved.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma will push for Aouar – who earns roughly €3 million – to exit the club at the end of the season.

Given that he signed on as a free agent, any earnings from Aouar’s sale would account for important revenue in the club’s balance sheets.
