Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma team continues to impress with their diverse attacking options.
Just two months into the season, the Giallorossi already boast 14 different scorers across Serie A and the Champions League.
This significant statistic highlights the Roman side’s ability to distribute scoring responsibilities across multiple players, without relying solely on their forwards.
This trend was further confirmed today’s match at the Bluenergy Stadium against Udinese, in which Ndicka and then Ghilardi scored their first goals of the season. The two defenders joined a list of players who have already scored, further expanding Roma’s offensive line.
The list of Giallorossi scorers includes Balerdi, Molina, Ghilardi, Hermoso, Ndicka, Lulli, Pisilli, De Roon, Cristante, Koné, Mora, Soulé, Malen, and Castro. These fourteen names demonstrate how Gasperini’s system favors the runs and offensive participation of players with different characteristics. Not only the attacking midfielders, but also the midfielders and defenders manage to find space in the scoring moves.
