Roma continue being linked with American midfielder Johnny Cardoso who is reportedly considered one of the club’s main objectives for the summer.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, the Giallorossi recently sent scouts to Brazil to monitor Cardoso’s progress with Internacional as the 21-year-old continues to steadily to collect precious playing time.
Cardoso – an American international – evolved from playing defensive midfielder to covering multiple positions in the attack and even featuring as a false nine.
The player’s contract with Internacional expires in 2024 making him a feasible target for Roma’s upcoming transfer window.
