Wesley sat out the Brazil-France match (1-2) due to a muscle problem.

The winger returned to Trigoria in recent days and underwent further checks, which revealed a damaging outcome for Roma’s ambitions: an MRI and ultrasound confirmed a muscle-tendon injury in his right biceps femoris.

The recovery time is estimated at four weeks to return to action. He is therefore scheduled to return on May 3rd for the match against Fiorentina.

Wesley, despite the four-week prognosis highlighted in Roma’s statement, is quite optimistic: he has set his sights on the match against Atalanta, scheduled for April 18th. In short, the Brazilian could only miss the games against Inter and Pisa.

As reported by Corriere della Sera, he underwent another medical examination yesterday and began physiotherapy before returning to the gym. Further tests will be carried out in the coming days.

Roma, however, remains in an emergency situation for the San Siro match: Wesley, Dybala, Koné, Dovbyk, and Ferguson are all out.

The return of Matias Soulé, who hopes to be available for the Easter match against the Nerazzurri, remains in doubt.
