Joshua Zirkzee remains Roma’s top target. The former Bologna and Bayern Munich Dutch striker is at the top of Gian Piero Gasperini’s list to strengthen his attacking line in the January transfer window.

Sporting Director Frederic Massara is working to bring him to the capital.

Roma’s current offer, reports La Repubblica, is a €5 million loan with an obligation to buy set at €30 million.

However, the player’s interest could play a decisive role: Zirkzee, in fact, is reportedly keen to work with Gasperini, which could help the deal come to a successful conclusion.

Man United appear willing to negotiate, but on one condition: waiting until January 18th, which coincides with the Africa Cup of Nations final.

The Red Devils, who have lost Diallo and Mbeumo, want to wait until the tournament concludes to avoid being exposed in attack.
