Roma have made progress in their negotiations with Mile Svilar over the player’s new contract.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, after a few weeks of miscommunication, the parties have gotten back on track and closed in on an agreement.

The newspaper reports that now more than ever Roma have come close to matching Svilar’s contractual demands.

An agreement is expected to be finalized with Svilar signing a deal until 2030 worth around 3.5 million euros.

Claudio Ranieri’s intervention proved decisive, bringing the parties closer together after the initial refusals by Svilar’s agent.

Svilar, currently in Antwerp expecting his first child, is calm and ready to commit himself for the long term to the club and the fans who have always supported him.
