Roma are planning to strengthen the left flank in January.

Among the players being monitored and approved by Gian Piero Gasperini is Leandro Trossard, whose contract with Arsenal expires in June unless he signs a new deal, which currently appears unlikely.

According to reports from England, if the Gunners don’t want to lose him on a free transfer, they’ll have to lower their asking price from the summer, when they were asking for around €30 million.

Roma, after Sancho’s final rejection, had already made inquiries about the Belgian.

Trossard could become one of Roma’s first choices in the winter transfer window to significantly boost the squad’s attacking potential.

Gasperini considers him an ideal addition to the squad, adding quality and a variety of options up front.
