Roma are reportedly targeting Genoa midfielder Albert Gudmundsson ahead of the summer.

The Giallorossi’s interest in Gudmundsson tracks back to a few months ago when the club first inquired about the 26-year-old’s availability and Genoa’s conditions for a deal involving him.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Roma are still in the race for Gudmundsson and are planning to renew talks with the Grifoni in the coming weeks.

However, the competition for Gudmundsson is immense: in Italy, both Juventus and Napoli have made contact for the player. Additionally, Gudmundsson’s performances this season have caught the attention of the likes of Spurs and West Ham United.

Genoa’s reported price-tag is of around €35 million.
