Roma are no longer the favorites to land West Ham attacker Gianluca Scamacca.
The player had long been linked with a return to the Italian capital, with Roma ready to seal the deal on the basis of a loan with option to buy.
However, Inter overtook Roma in the race for Scamacca, formulating a more convincing, cash-only offer.
According to Corriere della Sera, Scamacca still favors the Giallorossi over Inter, but Roma are unable to match the Nerazzurri’s recent bid.
As a result, Roma have began looking for alternatives to strengthen Jose Mourinho’s attack.
