Roma are looking for ways to strengthen their defense ahead of next season.
The Giallorossi want to secure at least one more centreback given their scarce depth at the back.
With the exception of Gianluca Mancini and Even Ndicka, Roma lack the necessary depth to face numerous competitions at once.
Thus, Corriere della Sera reports that two players who could leave Roma in this window are Chris Smalling and Marash Kumbulla.
Both players have failed to contribute to the team’s cause over the last year.
As a result, both are included on the capital club’s transfer list.
The newspaper claims that in case of Kumbulla’s exit from the club, Roma have already lined up a move for Rennes defender Arthur Theate.
Theate is a favorite of Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi and would represent a strong addition to De Rossi’s squad.
