Roma midfielder Renato Sanches continues to nurse a muscle injury that caused him to forfeit the last few games.

The Portuguese international has been unable to play any further after suffering an injury in the first half of the match with Sheriff Tiraspol.

According to Corriere della Sera, the player is expected to recover after the international break, although Roma are not in a hurry to rush him back.

In fact, the capital club seem intent on adhering to a personalized recovery phase for Sanches whose long injury history has preoccupied Mourinho and his staff.

Sanches may thus not be available against Monza, but should be back before the end of the month when Roma will face Inter at San Siro.
