Roma and Sardar Azmoun want to continue together.
The Iran international – who joined the capital club last summer on loan from Bayer Leverkusen – has reportedly convinced Roma to rely on him long-term, beyond the expiry of his temporary deal, informs Italian journalist Francesco Balzani for LaRoma24.it.
Azmoun is very popular in the dressing room and his style of play has made him adapt easily to Daniele De Rossi’s demands following Jose Mourinho’s dismissal from the club.
According to Balzani, Roma are already at work to secure a discount on the initial buy option that was set by Bayer Leverkusen for €12 million.
Bayer Leverkusen seem open to the idea as they do not intend to include Azmoun in their long-term plans.
