The victory against Lecce wasn’t enough to restore serenity at Trigoria.
The positions are clear and divided. On one side is Gasperini, who on Sunday chose to remain silent after meeting with the club on Friday.
The coach believes much of the squad is inadequate to compete for the top positions.
The coach is requesting a detailed meeting to discuss future objectives. On the other side, the ownership remains united on the three-year plan.
Despite some critical issues, they have not lost their respect for Gasperini and have never considered parting ways with him.
Massara’s position doesn’t seem to be in jeopardy at the moment, thanks in part to Ranieri’s presence, who hasn’t quite reached the initial agreement with the coach, even though he chose him anyway. In short, their positions don’t coincide.
As Il Tempo reports, Ranieri will be the man called upon to forge a synthesis to try to move forward by mutual agreement.
The next few days could be the right time to sit down and figure out if and how to move forward.
