The future of Marcos Leonardo will be sorted in January as his time with Santos seems to have come to an unfortunate end.

The 20-year-old attacker who had been closely linked with a transfer to Roma in the summer has seen his team be relegated last night.

Indeed, Santos suffered relegation for the first time in their history after losing 2-1 to Fortaleza.

Leonardo had been forced to remain at Santos in the summer in order to help contribute to their fight against relegation.

However, the Brazilian side went down crashing into the nation’s second division despite Leonardo’s 17 goals and 2 assists this season.
