Roma are reportedly in talks to send Sardar Azmoun out on international duty with Iran for the Asian Cup tournament.
On Monday, the Giallorossi received an official letter from the Iranian federation requesting Azmoun to attend the upcoming Asian Cup fixtures with his national team.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are evaluating the situation and weighing the options – the club could choose a compromise and avoid losing Azmoun right away.
The newspaper claims that a more realistic scenario involves Azmoun staying on in the capital for the next two games and leaving for international duty after the showdown with Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico on 7 January.
