Maurizio Sarri expected more from the return from the international break.

The result against Sassuolo disappointed the Biancocelesti, and now the Tuscan coach – writes La Repubblica – hopes to see the real Lazio against Roma.

For Sunday’s match, however, the coach doesn’t yet know who he’ll have available.

At Formello, the goal is to have Niccolò Rovella and Valentin Castellanos available through a personalized program, after the problems they suffered against the Neroverdi.

Optimism is filtering through from Lazio’s training center, and the Argentine shared an image of the Biancocelesti on social media with several emojis, including a battery charging.

The Argentine is undoubtedly raring to go.

Sarri wants to be cautious and in the meantime is studying alternatives.

Danilo Cataldi will take over the midfield duties if Rovella is unable to make it, while Boulaye Dia is ready to replace the Biancocelesti’s number 11.

Vecino would also have been a possibility, but the Uruguayan isn’t training with the group and will at most be benched. Gustav Isaksen faces the same fate, with one between Matteo Cancellieri and Tijjani Noslin playing on the right. Sarri could surprise by fielding the derby man, Pedro, from the start.
